Cañada de la Virgen Private Tour

The pyramids of Cañada de la Virgen is a very special place. Compared to the big archaeological sites, this is smaller, but the way this people built it to be a ceremonial center, and an astrological site, is just amazing.

To get there we drive almost half an hour from San Miguel, then we are taken by a bus close to the pyramids, but we still have to walk half a mile to get there.

It's located in the country side, in the middle of nowhere. That's one of the reasons why this place is so special.

Itinerary

  • Pick up at your hotel or house in San Miguel de Allende.

  • 25 minutes drive to the visitors center at the pyramids.

  • Visit to the museum and bus ride to the pyramids.

  • Half a mile walking to get to the archaeological site.

  • Visit to the pyramids and ride back to our car.

  • Drive back to San Miguel.

Transportation method and recomendations

  • Sedan Honda with A/C for 1-3 travellers or Suburban for 4-5 travellers.

  • Level of activity moderate. The walking to the pyramids is uphill, not very to steep.

  • Use comfortable shoes, a hat or a cap, bottle of water.

  • Mondays it's closed.
